Privacy statement

1. Controller

vanToneel is responsible for personal-data processing through vantoneel.nl. Privacy and data requests can be sent to info@vantoneel.nl.

2. Data we process

For orders we process data such as name, email address, optional telephone number, delivery and billing address, order details, products, amounts, payment status and shipping/tracking information.

For accounts we process login and profile data. For newsletters we process email address, consent, discount code and unsubscribe status. For return or withdrawal requests we process information needed to identify the request and order.

The website may also process technical data needed for security and operation, such as session information, IP address and server logs.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We use data to perform orders and payments, ship products, handle support and returns, manage accounts, prevent fraud and misuse, meet legal record-keeping duties and — only with the required consent — send newsletters.

The main legal bases are performance of a contract, legal obligations, legitimate interests such as security and fraud prevention, and consent where required.

4. Service providers and recipients

Payment partners may process payment information and payment status. Fulfilment, carrier and logistics partners may receive the data necessary to process, pack, ship and track an order. Email and communications partners may process data for transactional messages and, where you have consented, newsletters. Hosting and technical service providers may process data to operate and secure the webshop.

We do not sell personal data to advertisers. Data is shared only where needed for these purposes or required by law.

5. Retention

Order, payment and accounting data that form part of the statutory business records are generally kept for the legally required period, usually at least 7 years for core records.

Account data is kept no longer than necessary for the account and legal obligations. Newsletter data is kept until unsubscribe or until no longer needed. Temporary security and verification messages in vanToneel’s own mailbox are automatically removed after a short period, while operational email folders use category-specific retention periods. Technical logs are kept as briefly as reasonably possible for security and operations.

6. Cookies and sessions

vanToneel uses necessary cookies and session data for the basket, account, language preference and security.

With your permission, vanToneel uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-RLJLJQPH4K) to understand aggregated website visits and usage. Analytics storage is denied by default and is only enabled when you choose it in the cookie banner. Advertising storage and personalisation remain disabled. You can change your choice later by clearing the local website data/cookie preference for vantoneel.nl and reopening the site.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. vanToneel does not store full payment-card credentials; payments are handled by Mollie.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may also withdraw consent, for example for newsletters. Contact info@vantoneel.nl.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

9. Transfers outside the EEA

Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, an appropriate GDPR transfer mechanism and safeguards must be in place.

10. Changes

This statement may be updated when the webshop, suppliers or applicable law change. The latest version is always published here.
